• Debate about corporate efficiency versus tradition and impacts on employees

Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome back. Hello, come on, come on, I have to start this over. I'm just trying to get the gain right. I'm just trying to get the gain, the gain, the gain. This looks good, the gain, this looks good, uh. So I just want to say that on august 22nd there is a uh, my newest single wandering hope is coming out on spotify be-L-A-K-E-C-U-N-N-I-G-H-A -M. Yeah, and I want everybody to check it out and I want everybody to enjoy it.

Speaker 1:

It's a weird instrumental thing where it kind of sounds like you're in a coal mine, and then the first track is like you're in a coal mine of soot and ash deeply nestled inside your lungs, your eyes, your nose and all other appendages, and you're wandering through an abandoned mineshaft with the little headlamp thing and the little uh other thing, the pickaxe in your suit, your little suit, and you're wandering, you're wandering through the coal mine. And then the second track is a ray of sunshine. It's a fresh ray of sunshine when you emerge from the coal mine and that that's. That's basically it for that. The next achievement or not achievement, but the next talking point is that this show has got 250 downloads. So I just want to thank everybody who did that and I want to say thank you. That, and I want to say thank you. It's viewers like you that make sure that I'm probably going to have to end this show soon, because it's not financially viable, because nobody Is Is Is subscribed, or whatever you call it. Nobody is on Patreon. I'm not going to beg and I'm not going to cry, but it would be nice If y'all checked out my Patreon and I'm not. I'm not begging, I'm only on. I'm only on two knees on the floor with my hands collapsed together and I'm just asking you please, at least, just, at least just scroll by, at least just get the, the, uh, the algorithm going or something. And yeah, this episode is like like most episodes not much is going on in the world of today's, oh, oh. The world of today's, oh, oh, yeah, there's. There's one other thing I forgot to mention. It's this. It's this little Inconsequential piece Of the show. It will not Affect Anything. You're still going to get the same goofy, woofy show you've always wanted and you know you wanted.

Speaker 1:

Let me take a. It's not big news, but I kind of need a drum roll. So I'm going to take a drink of this energy drink. I won't say the brand because I'm not paid to say the brand. We sold the show. We sold the show to the highest bidder. This show has been sold to Russia. We sold the show to Russia. This is a Russian show.

Speaker 1:

Now Not much is gonna change, okay, but we just can't. No Criticizing Vladimir Putin, that's, or the entirety of Russia. It's just off limits. You know, it's like you can't talk shit about your boss, not at work, but if you get home, when the show stops rolling, when the tape oh shit, did I do something? When the tape stops rolling, who knows what I say about Russia? I don't know, and I hope they don't know, because that's I'm done, I'm finished at that point really. But yeah, it's just, it's a minor change. We've just been bought out by the highest bidder that happened to be the Russian government.

Speaker 1:

It's really no big deal. I mean, not much is going to change, almost nothing is going to change, except for we just can't. I just can't say anything negatively about, you know, the Russian government. Listen, I could, the people there. That's on limits. I mean I can say almost anything, no matter how much it hurts or how much it might be considered slander. I can say anything about the people, but just the government, mr Putin, it's off limits.

Speaker 1:

It's you know, it's your boss. You can't talk bad about your boss Unless you're really that tight, and I'm. I'm not that tight, alright, right, this is a new thing. Some people are that tight. Some people you know are super tight with with the big uh guy that we all respect here at at um the delirium. We do, we respect. I don't know any russian words and I probably never will, because I, I don, because I don't get that drunk. Okay, I don't get that drunk to speak fluent Russian, but that was kind of a hack job there. But I just want everybody to know that we've been bought out. Okay, it's a necessary evil. If you want to grow, if you want to take that next step, you've got to just, you know, sell the company to the.

Speaker 1:

You know those guys because you know they don't influence anything else except for this show. They don't. I mean they don't, it's just this show is the only thing that they influence. And you could be influencing what kind of drinks I'm drinking, because I'm drinking an energy drink, but I won't tell you what kind of energy drink because I wasn't paid not to be that superficial about it. But I mean you got to pay the bills. I mean the.

Speaker 1:

You know, rootin Putin isn't. He's not, he's not made of gold. I mean his. You know his palace might be made of gold, but but he's not made of gold. And even though he bought me out, it's on an installment plan sort of thing, like four payments of 29 ruples, I don't know what currency. It's all converted on the way over. They put, they put the, the, I don't know the bismarcks in an envelope and they put the dollars In the envelope and it gets swapped In the mail somehow.

Speaker 1:

And I don't ask questions. I just, I just pledged my allegiance to uh yeah, daddy Vlad, dad, daddy Vladdy, what a beautiful August morning to be not influenced by foreign nations. Everything I say is not. You know, there's no motive. I'm your unbiased supporter of, of, uh, humanity and democracy and other things, and you know it's all relatively related.

Speaker 1:

I have a story, I think. Let me think One time I touched an electric fence and it didn't hurt that much. Let me think of another story. Let me think of another story. Let me think of another story. Let me think of another story. Let me think of another story. Let me think of another story. Let me think of another story.

Speaker 1:

Um, I miss, I miss the 2000s and I miss. What I miss the most is Wendy's in the 2000s. I don't know why I missed that the most, but I do. It's like the thing I missed. I mean, what the heck? I have a pop filter on but there's still plosives. Alright, alright, enough enough with the Roblox thing. It's, it's, it's becoming the new thing and I and I don't, and it's like just turn it off, just turn it off, just turn it off, just turn it off. It's, it was, it's never. The game has never been advertised as a. Maybe it has been advertised as a game for children, but it's been a long. It's been around as long as I've not as long as I've been around, but I've even believe this or not.

Speaker 1:

In my day. I played Cops and Robbers on Roblox a handful of times and even back then, at maybe 11 years old or 12 years old, I was very aware of the kinds of people that were on Roblox. It was very obvious. You would have to be on it for less than 10 seconds to understand. It is just this weird cesspool of weird people. It doesn't take much to realize the kinds of things that go on on that application. It's really obvious. But I digress.

Speaker 1:

I know some people's parents just let them do whatever they want and then they get mad. The parents get mad when something bad happens. They say why would you do this to a child when I let my child have free reigns over every aspect of their life and my life? They decided, decided where we went to dinner last night, they decided what car I leased, they decided what I wore today. But it's your fault that you can't control yourself. It has nothing to do with me. I have no responsibility. I played no part in this. None of this is my fault, none of this. It's not my child's fault either for being a dumbass, a dumbass little shithead, child, child.

Speaker 1:

I don't like when people say child, it's demeaning to the children, or, uh, I have no, I was trying to think of a pun, um, uh, a Roblox offender, anyway. So if you're one of these people and you listen to the show, uh, uh, if you Give it a five star review, uh, that would still help. I mean, anyone who gives this show a five star review, I don't know. It'd be hard for me to be mad at you. I'm not saying I support what you do, but it would help. I think if you gave this show a five-star review, it would help cushion the blow. You would still be a piece of shit, but it would cushion the blow a little bit. Okay, I think almost anyone that is anyone and everyone can agree with that. Okay, I mean, the places this show will go. The places this show will go are listen, I haven't even cracked the iceberg of things that I could say into this microphone, but I want the viewership to be up before I drop some friggin bombs not like metaphorical bombs, not literal bombs on the uh, yeah, on on the viewer.

Speaker 1:

And I really deeply hope that anybody that I know in real life does not listen to this show. I hope you don't listen to this show, but if you do, then I'll see it through. Yeah, I'll see it through. You can. Maybe, even if you're cool, you can be on the show. If you're not cool, you can't be on the show. And if you're I don't know, I guess, if you're not cool but you're like some kind of scientist or expert, I might allow it and I might, like, underhandedly, make fun of you. I don't know what underhandedly means, I guess, but I just said it and I'll say it again and I'll say it a time or two more and I'll yeah, yeah, listen.

Speaker 1:

I've been so set on I want a Switch 2, but I've been doing more research and I want a Donkey Kong Bonanza. But I've been doing more research and I think I've come to the conclusion that I don't want I at least I don't want Donkey Kong Bonanza because it looks really stupid. It's like the beginning of it, like the trailer and stuff makes it look like really good, but then like there's all this stupid gameplay stuff. There's all this stupid gameplay stuff, like you turn into a snake and like a freaking bird thing, and it just does not look like the kind of thing that I would want to play at all. It looks really boring. I already thought Mario Odyssey was not my favorite game, but I've actually come around it. I would play it again. But the Switch 2, oh my gosh. I mean I really want the graphical upgrades.

Speaker 1:

This is a music show, by the way. We will talk about music later. I honestly haven't been listening to much music lately. I don't know why. I just really am having trouble getting back in the saddle. I mean it's just like Primus. I just only listen to Primus now, I don't know why, because it's the best thing ever, probably. But anyway, back to Switch 2 talk.

Speaker 1:

I wanted the Switch 2, but now and now I'm really like I'm hearing this thing like it has like a blurry screen. I don't get that. How can it have a blurry screen when it's 500? How can it not do my freaking laundry for me if it's 500? It has a blurry screen. It's not an OLED screen, it is a bigger screen. I mean, I'm having trouble talking myself out of it and I still might get it, but it just uh, and some of the games don't like, don't even have the graphical upgrades and I don't know, I don't know who's whose fault that is, if it's like the, the game developers fault, or if it's like Nintendo's fault.

Speaker 1:

I feel like you can just like and I know nothing. I know absolutely nothing about game development. Fall, I feel like you can just like and I know nothing. I know absolutely nothing about game development. But I feel like there should just be like unlock the frame rate or like unlock the resolution to like 1080p or even 920p or something like, just just without any type of you you know, texture update or anything, I don't know. It doesn't really make sense to me. But a lot of things don't make sense to me these days. With what, uh, with? You know everything that's going on, everything that's going on, all the things that are going on. You know your life isn't the same boring-ass shit it's always been. It's everything that's going on, this whirlwind of things that are happening, this true whirlwind of just of uh, shit that's happening. You know all this stuff that totally affects you. It's just going on. You know it definitely affects you.

Speaker 1:

You the viewer, the freaking weirdo on Roblox I know my Out of these 250 downloads. I know you guys Are the Roblox weirdos. I know you listen to the show. I know it's you, but it's okay as long as you Check out my music, blake Cunningham, on Spotify B-L-A-K-e-c-u-n-n-i-n-g-h-a-m on spotify, apple music, uh, amazon music, youtube even. Uh, I want to make a music video Soon of just like Me in a trench coat, being creepy and candles and stuff, and make it all creepy. That would be cool. And yeah, more music videos, a new single coming I already said that at the beginning and just lots of fun stuff to come. I don't know what else let's, you know, let me burn up. I have six minutes, okay, let's see what else is going on in what there are Something.

Speaker 1:

Okay, this is breaking news. Panera Bread is making changes to how it bakes its goods, guys, okay, okay, this administration's went too far. Panera is making changes to how it's baking its goods. Oh no, the company is moving away from baking everything from scratch in its cafe use par baked process, ie partial baking. This is going too far, guys. This means some of the fresh dough facilities across the country will close. Oh no, will affect employees in how Panera makes its items.

Speaker 1:

Shutdown, missouri, september 12th 72 people losing their jobs. 12th 72 people losing their jobs. 72 hardworking Americans that germinate bread are losing their jobs. And we're just indoors watching Netflix on our comfy sofa on our large television. People are losing their jobs. People are losing their jobs. The good folks at Panera are losing their jobs to partial baked breads. Are we in? I don't know, I might have to go make a sign and stand on the corner for multiple hours in front of local governments' offices.

Speaker 1:

And they're making vegan-friendly options. Okay, alright, we're going to get the poster board after this. We're going to get the poster board after this. I don't usually Almost never, actually never have I protested it, but this is the final straw Panera. This means war Panera. You laid off 72 people.

Speaker 1:

Partially baked bread, vegan options that was the final straw. Okay, bread should be made out of meat Panera, like it's always been made. Let's go back to the traditional ways of churning butter and making bread the old fashioned way, not this vegan tofu way that nobody's going to even eat. The rest of your menu is salads. It's already vegan. There's already vegan options. Why do you need a vegan bread? It doesn't even make sense. It doesn't even make sense. I'm just having trouble with this one Vegan bread. Let me go back to there's probably more to this article. I'm fired up, oh, I'm fired up. Oh, panera announces that workers impacted by closures will get severance pay and help finding new jobs. Well, oh, all, right, okay, access to job fairs. Well, you can come be an intern for this if you want. You can even make me breath.

Speaker 1:

The new par-baked model works by having third-party contractors okay, outsourcing prepare partially baked dough, then freeze it and send it to cafes. This method lets cafes bake fresh goods throughout the day instead of only baking them in the morning. Benefits of partially baked model Panera's prior baked model allows the company to open stores in places that were hard to reach those hard to reach places Before, because fresh dough could not be delivered there. It also helps make sure that baked goods are available for customers all day long, day long. Fresh dough facilities used to be run by bakers who made fresh bread, bagels and rolled dough every day. These facilities worked separately from the cafes. They supplied and managed their own profits and losses.

Speaker 1:

Closure due to poor performance. Sources say that Panera locations in Denver, seattle and Arizona were closed because they weren't doing well. Panera representatives did not explain how they decided if a location was performing well or not. If a location was performing well or not, speculation about future closures Some Panera workers on Reddit Reddit, me and Reddit are in an even bigger war. I backed off Panera Peace treaty Because they're providing job fairs, but me and Reddit, no, we do not hang bro. We do not hang Workers on Reddit. Think. Other fresh dough facilities, like the ones in Stockton, california and Atlanta, will be closing next. However, panera has not conformed to these claims will be closing next.

Speaker 1:

However, panera has not conformed to these claims. Panera is planning to close all the fresh dough facilities over the next two years. However, in some areas, employees have been told the switch to frozen dough might take up four years. Well, that's an interesting timeline, hmm, yeah, well, that's an interesting timeline, hmm, yeah. Panera has promised that workers from closed-off facilities will get new jobs in their cafes as baker associates. The company says pay, full-time hours and benefits should stay the same. Don't worry, you're not going to get paid off and be able to retire. You're going to be at the counter.

Speaker 1:

Criticism of change Some workers and customers are worried that switching to par-baked goods might take Panera away from its tradition of offering freshly baked items, which has been an important part of its brand. Yeah, the brand. Panera says that was my, that's my beard hair. Panera says that was my, that's my beard hair. Panera says it's strong. Panera says saw a 2.6 increase in sales and it's 2.2 rise in locations last year, according to data from Techonomic. The company thinks its PAR baked model will help it grow, even in the future. Future of Panera's bakery operations. Panera has not provided official comments about closing fresh dough facilities, switching to power bank systems. However, the company is working on changing its operation to keep up with its business needs. Check out Blake Cunningham on Spotify and have a blessed day. B-l-a-k-e-c-u-n-n-i, wait, b-l-u, B-L-A, b-l-a-k-e-c-u-n-n-i-n-g-h-a-m, and have a cool one. Bye.
